Building Tiny

Welcome to Building Tiny! My partner and I own a 12.5 acre parcel of land in Central Washington State (near Lake Chelan). Join us as we document the process, experience, adventures, and lessons learned while building a 120 square foot off-grid vacation cabin overlooking the mighty Columbia River from 2700 feet of highland desert bluffs.

Sunsets, Fires, and Stars: Escaping the Hubbub and Making Progress

We took two more trips up to the cabin in 2014, finishing the exterior and making some improvements inside. Amidst the work, we found joy in escaping everyday stresses, worried about a nearby wildfire, and relished in a spectacular night sky.
